🌴✨ Our Next Trip.......The Ultimate Bucket List Trip | 20th Weddng Anniversary in the Maldives🎉
For our 20-year wedding anniversary, we’re ticking off the ultimate bucket list destination… the Maldives. 💙
This has been a dream for as long as I can remember — ever since I first saw those impossibly turquoise waters on Wish You Were Here (yes… showing my age a little there!). It’s one of those places that always felt like pure escapism on a screen… and now it’s becoming real.
We’ll be staying at the breathtaking Sun Siyam Iru Veli, an ultra-luxury 5* island resort that looks like something out of a dream. Think powder-soft sand, crystal-clear lagoons, and that completely off-the-grid feeling where time just slows down.
We’ll be experiencing two incredible villa types during our stay. We’ll start in a Beach Villa with a private pool, just steps from the sand and swaying palms, before moving to an Ocean Villa with a private pool — where we’ll be suspended above the lagoon with uninterrupted ocean views.
Waking up to the sound of the sea beneath us, stepping straight into the ocean, and watching sunsets from our own private deck… it still doesn’t feel real saying it out loud.
And the journey there feels just as special as the destination. We’ll be flying from London Heathrow (LHR) using our Virgin Atlantic Flying Club points, travelling in Upper Class — which we’ve been very fortunate to have experienced last year when we went to Orlando — but this will be our first time experiencing the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse at Heathrow, and we cannot wait to try it, especially with its own dedicated entrance and check in and all the pre-flight indulgence that comes with it.
As part of the Sun Siyam experience, we’ll also be met at Male Airport and transported to their dedicated Sun Siyam Lounge, where we’ll have a chance to relax, unwind and freshen up before our seaplane transfer takes us over those incredible atolls to the resort. 🛩️🌊
This isn’t just a holiday — it’s a milestone, a dream, and a moment we’ve waited years for.
We cannot wait to slow down, switch off, and fully immerse ourselves in one of the most beautiful places on earth… and of course, bring you along for every unforgettable moment. ✨🌺

🎉 2026 & 2027: Our Biggest Travel Years Yet
From cruising through Europe to unwinding in the Caribbean, and soaking up the luxury of the Maldives, … 2026 is already shaping up to be one of our most adventurous, varied and exciting travel years yet. Think sea days and sunset sails, island escapes and desert skylines — and plenty of spontaneous moments in between. 🧳✨
We’re also squeezing in a cheeky long weekend at Longleat Centre Parcs for forest lodges, bike rides and spa time, plus a magical Twixmas break in Copenhagen — all cosy cafés, festive lights and Scandi charm to round off the year in style.
But we’re not stopping there… 👀
🚢 2027: The Cruise Era Continues
☀️ P&O Ventura – Spain & Portugal
In 2027 we’ll be sailing to Spain and Portugal aboard Ventura with P&O Cruises — and this one is extra special because we’re taking my parents on their very first cruise! 🥹🚢
Sun-drenched ports, relaxed sea days, tapas and pastéis de nata — plus introducing them to the magic of cruising for the first time. We can’t wait to see their faces when the ship sails away.
✨ Disney Wish from Southampton – Booked!
And it’s officially happening… we’re sailing on Disney Wish with Disney Cruise Line from Southampton — and this one is all about family. 🎆🚢
Family will be joining us, including my niece and nephew (who’ll be 6 and 4), for a 3-night sailing to Rotterdam. Although let’s be honest… we’ll probably stay onboard and make the most of everything the Wish has to offer!
Think fireworks at sea, Broadway-style shows, character meet-and-greets, and seeing the magic of a Disney cruise through the kids’ eyes — which might just be the most special part of all. ✨
🏝️ Mediterranean Cruise on P&O Azura
We’ll be sailing aboard P&O Azura on a Mediterranean itinerary packed with bucket-list ports. ☀️🚢
Flying into Valletta, we’ll be exploring some incredible destinations including Croatia’s stunning coastline — Split, Zadar and Dubrovnik — along with Marseille in France, Livorno (for Florence) and Civitavecchia for Rome.
From tropical escapes and festive city breaks to family firsts and sun-drenched Mediterranean adventures… the next two years are all about unforgettable experiences, new horizons, and sharing the journey with the people we love most. 💙🌍
